Become a Member of the Institute of Health Science, Research and Administration, Nigeria (IHSRAN)
The Institute of Health Science, Research and Administration of Nigeria (IHSRAN) is a fully approved professional body under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAMA 2020) and recognized by relevant Federal Ministries. The Institute is committed to advancing health science, research, management, and administration through professional development, collaboration, and global partnerships.
IHSRAN admits eligible candidates on a rolling basis, and successful applicants receive official membership documentation. Physical and virtual induction, investiture, and award ceremonies are held on designated dates as announced by the Institute.

Who Can Apply
Membership is open to accomplished professionals, administrators, entrepreneurs, and scholars across all fields.
Students may be considered for Affiliate Membership, while SSCE holders may qualify through a 6-month professional diploma programme.
Membership Categories
- Associate Member – 3+ years experience; minimum ND/equivalent
- Full Member – 5+ years experience; minimum HND/equivalent
- Fellow Member – 7+ years experience; minimum Bachelor’s degree
- Research Fellow – For outstanding researchers
- Doctoral Fellow – Master’s degree with 12+ years experience
- Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) – PhD with 5–10 years experience
- Post-Doctoral Research/Administrative Fellow (PDRF/PDAF) – PhD holders with research or leadership excellence
- Independent Research Fellow (IRF) – Based on research independence and impact
- Ambassadorial Fellow / Distinguished Fellow – For exceptional leaders and technocrats
- Corporate Membership – For organizations and institutions
Requirements for Advanced Fellowships (PDF, PDRF, IRF, DF)
- PhD in a relevant field
- Strong research output (publications, grants, awards)
- Evidence of research independence
- Proposal demonstrating originality and impact
- CV, publication list, recommendation letter, and personal statement
